Life returns to normal after day-long restrictions, strike in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jun 18: Life returned to normal in this summer capital, Srinagar today, after remaining crippled due to restrictions and strike called by separatists against death of three youths, allegedly in security force firing during the last 72 hours in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, with few days left for Eid-ul-Fitr, famous ‘Sunday Market’ in Srinagar witnessed huge rush of customers.
Shops and business establishments reopened this morning and traffic on all routes was plying normally in summer capital, Srinagar though some busy roads witnessed traffic jam.
Official sources told UNI that curfew-like restrictions imposed in major areas of the downtown and Shehar-e-Khas (SeK) yesterday, when separatist had called for a strike against killing of three youth in security force firing, were lifted today.
All roadblocks have been removed and traffic was today plying normally on all routes in downtown and SeK, where shops and business established reopened early this morning.
