Jammu, May 25: Levelling corruption charges against Jammu and Kashmir Health Minister, a man has allegedly threatened to ‘kill’ him for not appointing any ENT specialist in hilly Kistwar district of the State. Chairman Social Welfare Association, District Kishtwar, Joginder Bhandari, in a message circulated on the social media, has threatened the State Health Minister Bali Bhagat to ‘kill’ him as his wife, who is suffering from ‘throat infection’ failed to get treatment in the district hospital.

In a threatening letter, Mr Bhandari has said that he approached the brother of the Health Minister, who is serving as a teacher, with a plea, who in turn advised him to visit the hospital, which has no ENT specialist. Bhandari said, "the attitude of the Minister and his brother pinched me.’’ Terming the Health Minister ‘most corrupt’, the man had claimed that if anything happened to his wife, he will 'kill' the Minister. "In case any thing happens to my wife, I shall be forced to ’kill’ Bali Bhagat, Health Minister for which I am ready to face any consequences,’’ he said in a message circulated in various groups on WhatsApp and the social media.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Bali Bhagat while terming the threatening man allegedly as 'insane' and 'druggist' said that there was no post of ENT specialist presently in Kishtwar district. "I have also come across the message on social media. This man is known to me and is too much. He might have done this under the influence of drugs," said the Minister while talking to UNI. Mr Bhagat however said, "we are facing crunch of specialised doctors at the moment so could not appoint the ENT specialist in Kishtwar."
