BJP National Prez’s Jammu visit begins tomorrow

Jammu, Apr 28: BJP National President Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to this winter capital of the state from tomorrow. ''All arrangements are finalised ahead of party president’s visit to Jammu,'' Dr Narinder Singh, BJP State General Secretary here today told UNI. He said Mr Shah will arrive tomorrow morning and straight away visit the party office wherein he will inaugurate a well established library.

''There after at around 1130 hrs, he will meet party MLAs, ministers, officer bearers at the party headquarter,'' said Dr Singh, adding that prominent citizens will also meet Mr Shah. As per schedule in the afternoon he will hold discussions with senior office-bearers and from 1700 hrs to 1900 hrs, interaction will be held with members of various committees constituted like ‘Beti Parhao Beti Bachao’, ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and others, he added. Dr Singh however, said on April 30, the BJP stalwart will chair meetings of party leaders and office-bearers and will also have lunch to be hosted by MoS PMO Jitendra Singh at his residence. ''In the evening MLAs and Ministers will hold special discussions with the leader and a dinner with Ministers in the evening,'' he asserted.

On May 1 morning, Mr Shah will fly back to the national capital. However, the City of Temples has turned saffron ahead of VIP’s visit as all rotaries and bazaars are flooded with party flags and banners.

Tight security has also been put in place ahead of Mr Shah’s visit in the winter capital.
