PDP-BJP govts jointly responsible for Kashmir situation: MIM

Hyderabad, Apr 28: All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (MIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday blamed that PDP in Jammu & Kashmir and BJP government at the Centre were responsible for the deterioration of situation in Kashmir.

There was complete misgovernance and alienation of local people in J&K, Mr Owaisi told reporters here, while reacting to the Kupwara attack, in which three soldiers were killed. He said he was shocked over the happenings, even after the presence of eight Army battalions. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Prime Minister Narendra Modi must have some roadmap and shouldn't allow such deterioration of situation in Kashmir, Mr Owaisi added.

The state and the Centre should take responsibility for the overall situation in Kashmir, the Hyderabad MP said. The alienation of locals was so much that the Centre should take steps to impose one month ban on internet, he added.
