8 students injured in Shopian, 4 in Pulwama

Srinagar, Apr 26: At least eight students sustained injuries after government forces allegedly barged into the Higher Secondary School Shopian, premises and fired pellets on protesting students.

As per sources, a heavy contingent of police and other forces chased the protesting students during clashes into the government higher secondary school.

He said, “Forces entered into the institution and fired pellets on students injuring many.”

Meanwhile locals also confirmed that forces even beat one of the teachers in the school.

However, police sources strongly denied the allegations that they beat any teacher or entered the school premises.

Meanwhile, many students also sustained injuries in Pulwama as well during clashes with government forces.

As per sources in district hospital Pulwama, they received four injured students, with fractures and one student was fired with pellets in his foot.
