Jammu, Apr 24: Shiv Sena members from neighbouring Punjab State were stopped by the police from entering Jammu and Kashmir. The Shiv Sainiks wanted to submit a memorandum to the Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan here.
"The Shiv Sainiks from Punjab were coming to Jammu to meet the Governor and submit to him a memorandum on the recent attacks and 'manhandling of Army' in the Kashmir Valley," police sources said.
They said that the Shiv Sainiks were stopped at Lakhanpur in Kathua district. Later, only their leaders were allowed to enter Jammu and Kashmir. "Heavy deployment has been made along Punjab-J&K border," police added.
