Tantray exhorts on providing quality, moral education

POONCH , APRIL 23: MLA Haveli, Shah Mohammed Tantray called upon the teaching fraternity to put in dedicated efforts to provide quality education to the students and nurture their capabilities helping them to excel in life .Tantray said this while addressing a function at Govt Model Higher Secondary school Sawajjian. He said, “Investment in education yields high dividends and therefore children deserve the best education to excel in today’s competitive world.”
He also emphasized on inculcating moral values in students so that they can set examples of high moral rectitude along with academic excellence.
Tantray advised the students to actively participate in sports and other co-curricular activities for their overall development and assured that adequate steps will be taken to provide better sports facilities in educational institutions .He also exhorted upon students to keep their school and its surroundings clean maintaining that their partaking can help in effective implementation of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Uniforms and books were also distributed among school children.
Meanwhile people also apprised the MLA about their demands such as pending salary of SSA teachers, augmenting water supply in the area, concrete footpaths, boundary walls, etc.
Responding to the projected demands, Tantray said that present dispensation is paying focused attention on development of rural areas and requisite steps are underway to improve all basic facilities.
