District Karate Championship held at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, APRIL 23: District Ganderbal Karate Association organized District Karate Championship 2017 at Computer Oriented Institute Ganderbal, in which more than three hundred players from nine different schools of the district participated. The championship was held under approved rules and regulations of Karate Association of India (KAI).
General Secretary District Karate Association Ganderbal Mujahid Yaqoob said that medalists of this tournament will be eligible to participate in the forth coming State Karate Championship 2017.
It is pertinent to mention that KATA, a unique form of karate was also played for the first time in district.
The championship witnessed a huge rush of young players especially girls, who desired to learn the art form for self defense.
