JAMMU: Rashtriya Swa-yamsevak Sangh (RSS), Jammu and Kashmir, today said that it has nothing to do with “issuance of Aadhar Cards” to Rohingyas and put the onus for it on the state Government.
“Yeh samaj ka aur sarkar ka kaam hai. Woh dekhe ki Rohingyas ko kaise Aadhar Cards diye gaye. Isme RSS ka koi role nahi hai (It is the public and government’s job to know how Aadhar cards were given to Rohingyas, RSS has no role to play on this issue),” senior RSS leader Brigadier (Retired) Suchait Singh told mediamen in Jammu today when he was questioned on issuance of Aadhar Cards to Rohingyas.
The RSS leaders, Brig (Retd.) Suchait Singh and Parshotam Dadiechi were addressing media here regarding a resolution passed at the RSS’ Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Coimbatore from March 19-21, 2017 expressing grave concern over rise in violence in West Bengal by alleged Jihadi elements.
Brig. Suchait Singh said, “We are very concerned over similar atmosphere being created by some anti-social elements in Jammu but the RSS does not believe in plotting people for violence. We want the public to raise voice against such elements and the government to take necessary action.”
“At our own level, our leaders are regularly discussing with state as well as central BJP leaders about every development in Jammu but we don’t have any authority to do anything on our own,” Singh said.
The Prant Karyawah of J&K RSS, Parshotam Dadiechi said that 279 Shakhas are being run at 180 places in Jammu and Kashmir in addition to 110 Weekly Milan and 76 monthly mandlis.
“About 45 educated youth are joining RSS every month in J&K through the online facility on the RSS website. More than 1600 youth from each province i.e. Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have joined the RSS in the last three years,” he said.
