T-20 cricket tourney organized by IRP 8th Bn concludes Final match won by Lar Eleven

Srinagar March, 26: The closing ceremony of T-20 cricket tournament organized by IRP 8th Bn was held at Sainik School Mansbal. Nine teams from Bandipora and Ganderbal participated in the tournament. Principal Sainik School Mansbal Shri Nazir Ahmad Dar was the chief guest on the occasion.
The final match of the tournament was played between Lar Eleven and Boys Cricket Club Sumbal. Lar Eleven won the toss and elected to bat first. In the given 20 overs, Lar Eleven made 153 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. In reply Boys Cricket Club Sumbal were bundled off in 17 overs and managed only 114 runs.
Farooq Ahmad of Lar Eleven was declared as the man of the match for taking 04 wickets while Suhail Ahmad (Skipper ) who took 11 wickets was declared as the man of the series. Abid Ahmad of Lar Eleven and Sajad Ahmad of Boys Cricket Club Sumbal were declared as the best batsman and best bowler of the tournament respectively.
Principal Sainik School Mansbal Shri Nazir Ahmad Dar and Commandant IRP 8th Bn Shri M.L Mehra distributed the trophies and prizes among the winner and runner up teams.
Among others, Commandant JKAP 8th Bn Shri J.S Johar, Dy. Commandant IRP 8th Bn Shri Virinder Singh Manhas, Dy. Commandant IRP 8th Bn Shri G.L Sharma and other officers were present.
