Gwalior, MP, Mar 25: In an unveiled admonition to India’s western neighbour, Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh today said Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were authorised to 'take a decision on the spot' in the event of shooting by the other side that is repeatedly violating the ceasefire.
"The Centre has emerged with a new road map vis-à-vis the India-Pakistan and India-Bangladesh borders. An endeavour shall be made for checking infiltration through technical assistance at places that cannot be fenced. Four pilot projects were approved by me in the recent past. Under them, 35 border outposts were constructed on the Indo-Pak border and 38 on the Indo-Bangla border," he said while addressing trainee officers at the Tekanpur-based BSF Academy following a passing-out parade by assistant commandants led by the Force’s first woman field officer Tanushree Pareek.
The visiting politician paid tributes to martyrs.
