Lucknow, Mar 25: The new BJP government in Uttar Pradesh today completed one week rolling out its agenda and putting the state on the verge of a change.

Without changing even a single officer, the BJP government has started implementing its agenda and poll promises, thus giving an impression that it is a hard task master and wants to change the system and not the officials. But the implementation of promises made in the manifesto has put some people in problem too. After government's crackdown on illegal slaughter houses and butcher shops, the state is facing shortage of chicken and mutton.

The agendas of shutting down illegal slaughter houses, anti-romeo squad, cleanliness drive, ways to end corruption, to create discipline among the government employees and even the new ministers have started rolling out, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath taking the lead in setting examples. By being so prompt in inspecting the Hazratganj police station and rushing to King George Medical University(KGMU) to meet the rape victim who was administered acid by the criminals, Mr Adityanath has forced his ministers to be more active now. Now, all the ministers too are on the 'active mode' to be at par with the young CM, as they too are inspecting their departments and its cleanliness. Lauding that act of the government, UP BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak today claimed that this new government was showing its 'capacity' and 'capability' both. " No other government in the past had made such changeover in just a week time with all lumpen elements who used to harass the girls going underground.

They will either mend their ways or will have to leave the state," he said. Mr Pathak said that decision to open 3,000 generic medicine shops, payment of cane dues in 14 days besides the strictness on slaughter houses and cleanliness, making bio-metric attendance of the state employees, shows the clear, honest and transparent attitude of this BJP government. Meanwhile, action on the illegal slaughter houses and butcher shops besides the act of the police under the anti-Romeo squad has created panic among the people and a show of protest has started emerging. All the butchery shops in Lucknow and several other places in the state are closed for the past two days and they are not ready to open it due to the harassment by the officials. Due to shops closure, the hotels and restaurants are serving just vegetarian foods to the customers.

On the other hand, the lovers, who used to visit parks, malls and other places have started avoiding it, apprehending harassment by the police. Lohia and Janeshwar Mishra Parks in the state capital, have started showing the impact of the anti-romeo drive. The daily entry ticket collection has also dipped.
