Mini Bus drivers in Poonch putting passengers' lives to risk

Mendhar, Mar 01: Over loading menace in Poonch and Rajouri has become a serious cause of concern as the department concerned has failed to take any strict action against those who are violating the rules and regulations under the nose of the concerned authorities.
Local said that over loading by mini buses can be commonly seen at the major roads of Poonch And Rajouri as the local mini buses operators are violating traffic rules and accommodating more passengers than the capacity.
Even, some of the passengers hang on the back side of the mini buses which is openly giving invitation to the major mishaps.
Traffic Police Department and Jammu and Kashmir Police make tall claims to fight against the overloading menace in Poonch and Rajouri districts, but the claims are on papers only as on ground overloading by the private Mini Bus Operators has increased under the nose of the Jammu and Kashmir Police as well as Traffic Police and Motor Vehicle department.
This shows the failure of concerned departments that the overloading still continue in the Mendhar, Surankote, Mandi, Poonch, Rajouri and also outskirts of Poonch.
