ADDC chairs DLRC Anantnag meeting
ANATNAG, FEBRUARY 28: Additional District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today chaired District Level Review cum Consultative Committee meeting (DLRC) to review performance of various financial institutions in the district.
The meeting was briefed about the achievements made under district Credit Action Plan 2016-17 and it was said the banks have made an advancement of Rs. 460.58 crore, while as the deposits have touched to Rs 3890.85 crore.
It was given out that under priority sector the banks have disbursed an advance of Rs 276 crore among 11406 beneficiaries, while as under non-priority sector a loan of Rs.184 crore was disbursed for setting up of 7279 units.
Under KCC scheme, the meeting was informed that the banks have sanctioned 21275 cases against 68408 sponsored cases for which they have disbursed Rs. 586.99crore.
The ADDC stressed the bankers and line Department officers to gear up their efforts and designate a nodal officer for settlement of sponsored cases with the banks. For achieving the set targets he asked the bankers to organize awareness camps in educational institutions on the beginning of academic year.
With respect to Joint Liability Groups, the ADDC directed the concerned to work in synergy so that poor and down-trodden sections are benefited. He specifically sought the intervention of bankers in uplifting the economy of rural areas by providing loans to the poor under Joint Liability Groups scheme.
CPO Anantnag, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Sheep Husbandry Officer and Representatives of other line Departments, besides Cluster head J&K Bank Anantnag, Officers of SBI, EDB, Yes Bank, HDFC, DUDA, ICIC Bank, Canara Bank attended the bank.
