Protesters lock office of SDM Thanamandi on 2nd consecutive day

Rajouri, Feb 28: Protesters locked down the office of SDM Thanamandi in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on second consecutive day today.
They are demanding the continuation of AC Defence Abdul Qayoom Mir as SDM Thanamandi who was given additional charge of SDM a couple of months ago.
Mir is a resident of Thanamandi town.
Recently, government posted a new officer as SDM Thanamandi, a move that has triggered protests.
Locals on Monday locked down the SDM Office and didn't allow the new officer to assume charge.
The protests continued on second consecutive day today.
