Death toll in boat tragedy rises to 10 in TN

Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu Feb 27: The death toll in yesterday’s boat tragedy in this Southern district of Tamil Nadu rose to ten with the recovery of the body of a 12-year-old girl, today.
The body of Abhinaya was recovered about 500 metres off Manappad Coast this morning, P.
Saravanakumar, Deputy Director of Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services (TNFRS), Southern Region told newsmen, here.
He said the TNFRS called off the search operation after the recovery of Abhinaya’s body, this morning as there was no possibilities of retrieving anymore.
However, we will resume the search operation if needed, he said.
