Sharma reviews functioning of Transport Department

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 26: Secretary Transport Department, Hemant Kumar Sharma, today chaired a meeting to take stock of functioning of various wings of the Transport Department.
Regional Transport Officer Kashmir, ARTOs of Kashmir Division and other concerned attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Secretary also reviewed working of recently introduced online software (Vahan Sarathi 4.0). He instructed the officers to resolve public issues at the earliest and work with professionalism for optimal functioning of the Department.
Later, the Secretary Transport visited JKSRTC Headquarters in Srinagar and inspected work of various wings in effective monitoring of the fleet. He directed various profit centre heads for daily revenue monitoring and emphasized for increase in fleet utilization to increase earnings and minimize expenditure, which have cascading effect on the overall performance of the Corporation.
