Police Public meet held

RAMBAN, Feb 25: In its efforts to strengthen the public police cooperation and the involvement of the common public in the overall development of the society, J&K Police organised a police public meeting at Dak Bungalow Gool under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban Mohan Lal.
The meeting was attended by a huge gathering of people including representatives of organizations viz Beopar Mandal Committe Gool, Sarpanches, besides some senior citizens of various other civil societies.
During the meeting various issues relating drug addiction, traffic management, checking unnecessary damping of material in market places, to check menace of cheating during exams in exam centres, updation of OGW's list after proper verification, no parking of vehicles in market area, maintenance of market streets by beacon, loss of lives by wild animals and other issues of vital importance were discussed. The representatives presented their suggestions regarding better policing and assured their coordination and cooperation in curbing crime.
Speaking on the occasion SDPO Gool Mohd Ameen Bhat and SHO Gool Mohd Amin Malik highlighted the role of police department in the overall safety and security of the society. They stressed upon the public support and said that police department will continue its efforts in preventing crime and maintaining peace in the area.
