Lecture Delivered by Industry Expert in SMVDU

Jammu, Feb 22: In continuation with the lecture series by experts from industry, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU organized a guest lecture on “Indian Thermal Power Sector- An Insight” by Er. Sameer Ahmad Bhat, Engineer, BHEL Power Sector, Western Region. The speaker addresses about various technical aspects of a typical thermal power plant and shared his experiences about the thermal sector. The speaker also gave a detailed overview of the various technologies aimed at improving the efficiency of the thermal power systems and to mitigate the environmental hazards. In the end, an interactive session was held with the students. Dr. Balbir Singh, HoD, DoME conveyed his thanks to the expert for sharing his experiences with the students. The event was attended by faculty, students and research scholars of Department of Mechanical Engineering.
