Abducted Kashmir girl rescued within hours

Srinagar, Feb 22: A 15-year-old girl was rescued within hours of her abduction in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, police said.

An information regarding the kidnap of girl (name withheld), a resident of Achabal Anantnag, was received following which a case was registered and manhunt launched, police said late last night.

Police succeeded in nabbing the accused and recovering the girl within hours of incident.

The accused has been identified as Aadil Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Charipora Achabal. A case under section 363 RPC has been registered against the accused.
