“Mazhab nahi sikhata aapas mein bair rakhna, Hindi hain hum, watan hain, Hindostan hamaara.”

Never before, in any premier Indian School, has The National Anthem of Pakistan, India’s arch rival and neighbour, been bestowed with utmost dignity, honour and respect when the Pakistani National Anthem was sung on Indian soil at Goenkan acres.

This was in sync with a British Council activity conducted by the students of class VIII. The theme of the Activity was “Leaders’ Summit at the United Nations General Assembly.”The participating counties were U.S.A, Pakistan, China, Germany, France and of course, India.

The special Assembly commenced with the students giving a brief introduction about the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). It was shortly followed by students dressed in attires of the countries they represented.

The most remarkable and incredible part of the whole activity was the undisputed love, honour and deep reverence given to each Nation when their National anthem was sung.

The objective of the Activity was not just to create awareness about the diverse customs, traditions, languages and dialects, the cuisines, the history or the geographical aspects of the various Nations but to bring people closer towards becoming Global Citizens of the World.

The Principal of the school, Mr.Rajesh Rathore along with the Middle School Coordinator, Ms. Mamta Aggarwal appreciated and acknowledged the splendid endeavour and contribution of all students and teachers alike.
