Army organizes youth festival 'Sangam 2016-17' at Bhadarwah

BHADARWAH : Army in collaboration with University Campus, Bhadarwah organised the Opening Ceremony of Youth Festival, 'Sangam-2016-17’, today with full fanfare and grandeur. Governor NN Vohra of J&K graced the event as the chief guest. The three days event was inaugurated on 24 January 2017 in the presence of large number of civil and military dignitaries. Nine Colleges of the erstwhile Doda district will be participating in the three days event which is being org with active support of the local communities.
To make the event lively and colourful, students of Government Degree College, Bhadarwah Campus, Jammu University and Little Angel School presented cultural programmes. The audiences were enthralled after witnessing the mesmerising folk songs and dance performances.
The youth festival includes myriad outdoor and indoor events, wherein participants from various colleges will compete in a quest to win the overall Championship Trophy. The youth would showcase their prowess in Snow Modeling, Sketching, Painting, Debate, Extempore Speech, Group and Solo Song and Dance performances during the course of the festival.
Few motivational and informative talks have also been planned during the festival with an aim to encourage youth to align with the national mainstream and emerge as harbingers of peace, prosperity and growth in the area.
