DC Budgam reviews R-Day arrangements

BUDGAM, JANUARY 23: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmed, today convened a meeting to take stock of arrangements put in place for Republic Day celebrations in the district.
It was decided in the meeting that the main function of the on Republic Day would be held at Sports Stadium Budgam.
The meeting also held threadbare discussions on arrangements like security in and outside the venue, transport, sanitation, power supply, medicare facilities, seating arrangements, march-past, band contingents, public address system, fire fighting measures, heating arrangements, water supply etc.
The DC directed the officials to maintain cleanliness in and around the main venue, besides asked the concerned to ensure better parking facility and availability of snow cutter machines at the stadium. He stressed on close coordination among the concerned departments for smooth conduct of the Republic Day celebrations.
