Fresh WD active, snowfall predicted during next 48 hours in J&K
Srinagar, Jan 23: Ahead of fresh moderate to heavy snowfall during the next 48 hours from tomorrow, the night temperature witnessed a drop by few notches while the day chill also intensified due to cloudy sky coupled with icy-cold winds in Kashmir valley.
A Met Department spokesperson told UNI that light rain and snow would occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
However, he said weather woes would continue as there could be moderate to heavy snowfall during the subsequent 48 hrs across the valley.
Leh in Ladakh was the coldest place in the region after the mercury settled at minus 8.
