Life returns to normal in Srinagar civil lines

Srinagar, Jan 22: Life returned to normal in the civil lines in the summer capital, Srinagar, where a shutdown was observed yesterday on 27th anniversary of Gaw Kadal martyrs.
Shops and business establishments reopened and traffic was plying normally on all routes.
A complete shutdown was observed in majority areas in the civil lines, including Lal Chowk, the nerve centre of the city, Budshah Chowk, Maisuma, Gaw Kadal and adjoining localities yesterday on a strike call given by separatist organizations, including both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).
