J&K Assembly rocks, Oppn stages walkout

Jammu, Jan 21: Issues of power crisis in Kashmir Valley and compensation to the kin of five members of a family died in a road accident today rocked Jammu and Kashmir Assembly here.
As soon the House proceedings started, NC MLA Ali Mohammad Sagar raised the issue of power crisis in the snow hit Kashmir Valley. Mr Sagar said that people were forced to live in dark due to erratic power supply.
The MLA said that the Government has failed to provide continuous power supply and in many of the areas, transformers were lying damaged and not repaired.
