Ansari congratulates Pence on assuming office as US VP

New Delhi, Jan 21 Vice-President Hamid Ansari today congratulated his American counterpart Michael R Pence on assuming office as Vice-President of his country and expressed his strong desire to work together for enhancing the bilateral relations. Mr Ansari, while extending his best wishes to Mr pence for success in office and for his personal well-being, also invited him to visit India. 'Please accept my heartiest congratulations on your assumption of office as the Vice President of the United States of America. I am confident that under your leadership, our strong and deep relations will scale new heights,' Mr Ansari said in a message to the newly-elected US Vice-President. 'I look forward to working with you in promoting the common interests of our two nations and people and take this opportunity to invite you to visit India at your earliest convenience,' he added.
