Priya Sethi inaugurates 3-Day exhibition on Creative, Contemporary Art

Jammu, January 20: Minister of State for Education, Culture and Tourism, Priya Sethi inaugurated 3-day painting exhibition on creative and contemporary art here today.
The exhibition, organized by renowned artist Yogeshwar Verma in memory of his artist father late Hari Ram Verma on his death anniversary, was a free mixture of paintings depicting different aspects of life.
The Minister appreciated the different shades of art displayed and exhibited in the event and expressed the hope that this exposure to artist’s creativity would further enhance his skills in the world of art. She said such events immensely help in promotion of specific art of a particular region besides providing an opportunity to peep into the world of art.
The Minister appealed the people to come and witness the exhibition in maximum numbers so that this unique talent is encouraged and promoted. She said J&K is blessed with magnificent scenic splendor and grandeur which inspires the artists in their creations and it is the commitment of the government to support such artists to further sharpen their talent.
Padamshree, Jatindra Udhampuri was the guest of honour on the occasion while Prof Lalit Gupta and prominent citizens also attended the exhibition.
