PMKSY under implementation: Hanjura

Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today said that Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) and its various components including Per Drop More Crop (PDMC), Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP), Har Khet Ko Pani (HKKP) and Watershed Development are being systematically implemented in the State. For the same, SLSC has approved the Action Plan of Rs 1760 lakh and 150 crore for the year 2016-17 under PDMC and Watershed Development respectively.
"No ceiling has been communicated so far by the Government of India for two component AIBP and HKKP for the current year under PMKSY", the Minister said.
The Minister said against the approved allocation of Rs 1760, first installment of Rs 702 lakh has been released to the executing agencies for PDMC component.
He further said an amount of Rs.600 lakh (Rs 540 lakh as Central Share and Rs 60 lakh) as State share has been released to the District Agencies for implementation of Sub-components of other interventions, which is one of the components of PDMC and the funds approved for Watershed" under PMKSY are awaited.
Replying to a question of Mian Altaf in the House regarding details of action taken up under PMKSY in Kangan constituency, the Minister said
Rs 293.02 crore District Irrigation Plan 2016-21 has been prepared for Ganderbal district (including Kangan constituency).
Detailing the various components, he said Rs 41.21 crore have been allocated for AIBP, Rs 201.96 crore for HKKP, Rs 12.57 crore for PDMC, Rs 2.79 crore for Watershed and Rs 34.49 crore for convergence with MGNREGA.
He further said that during the current financial year, an amount of Rs 27.95 lakh has been released under PDMC component for Ganderbal district out of which Rs 15 lakh are for Kangan constituency.
Besides, an amount of Rs 35.05 lakh (State share) stands utilized ending December-2016 for the ongoing CAD & WM Project Ganderbal, which includes Rs 6.30 lakh in Kangan constituency under the component HKKP, he added.
