ASKPC submits memorandum to Governor

JAMMU, JANUARY 19: A delegation of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) submitted a memorandum to the Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
In the memorandum the ASKPC has sought Governor’s intervention for vacation of encroachments from Kashmiri Pandits’ lands especially in and around religious places, temples and shrines in the Valley; adoption of PM’s employment package with effect from its date of announcement with age relaxation to the now over aged youth and provision for their transfer; sanction of economic package to unemployed Kashmiri Pandit youth; filling of vacant posts from where Kashmiri Pandits have retired in the State and the Central Government departments by unemployed Kashmiri Pandits; and passage of Temples Protection Bill which is pending in the J&K Legislative Assembly.
The Raj Bhavan spokesperson added that the demands raised in the memorandum have been taken up with the State Government.
