GDC Rajouri Organized Symposium on Role of Youth in the Society.

Jammu, Jan 19: Govt. Degree College Rajouri today organized an Inter-College Symposium on Role of Youth in the Society in the multipurpose hall of the college. The event was a part of various activities held in college to commemorate the Birth day of one of the towering spirituals giants of the country SWAMI VIVEKANANDA. It was an initiate of literary and cultural committee of the college under the convener ship and guidance of Prof. Iqbal Raina, Prof.Mohd Saleem Wani who organized it in very impressive manner. A sizeable lot of students witnessed the programme in which around ten students from various colleges of the districts presented their views and shared their vision for a mega role to be played by the youth of the country. The programme was chaired by Principal of the College Prof. Shabir Hussain Shah, who deliberated his views extensively on the topic and impressed upon the youth to discover their real potential to leave a mark on the society and lead it to new heights.
A team of three Judges including Prof. Anwar Hussain Shah, Prof. Y.P. Sharma and Dr. Abdul Haq Naeemi declared Mr. Tanvir Ahmed of Himalayan Degree College Rajouri and Abaidullaha Mansoor of Govt P.G. College Rajouri as First,Akshay Kumar of P.G. College Rajouri as second and Zeenat Fatima and Danish Bashir of GDC Rajouri and GDC Thanna Mandi Respectively got third prize. Tjose who spoke on the occasion included Prof. Sajjar Malik,Prof. Mohd Saleem Wani. The welcome address was presented by Prof. Iqbal Raina and vote of thanks was given by Prof. Z.A. Mirza staff secretary of the college.
