R-Day arrangements finalized at Baramulla

BARAMULLA JANUARY 18: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash today convened a meeting of officers to finalize the arrangements for the smooth and peaceful celebration of Republic day.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at district Police headquarters where the function will start with the recitation of Shehnai Wadan followed by the hoisting of tri color by the VIP. It was further informed that various contingents from CRPF, JKP, JKAP, IRP, F&ES, NCC cadets and school children will participate in the march past, while as cultural programmes will also be presented on the occasion.
The meeting discussed various arrangements including installation of PAS, Security, Sanitation, water and power supply, snow clearance and transportation.
The DC emphasized upon the officers to adopt coordinated effort to ensure smooth celebration of the function.
SSP, JDP, ACR, ACD,CMO,ACD, Engineers of PHE, PDD, R&B and officers from other concerned Departments attended the the meeting.
Meanwhile, similar meetings were also held at Sub Divisional headquarters by the respective SDMs to review the arrangements put into place for the smooth celebration of the function.
