SAMETI organizes 3-day programme on profitable livestock farming

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 18: A 3-day training programme on profitable livestock farming is being organized by State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute from January 17 to January 19, 2007.
The programme is being conducted for officers and field workers of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department.
The training programme was inaugurated by Director Extension/SAMETI Kashmir, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad. He stressed for proper and timely dissemination of the applied technologies for boosting the livestock sector and highlighted the importance of such training programmes.
Organizers of the programme said participants are being given practical and hands on training on Silvi pasture system for small ruminants, Neonatal diarrhea, Ovine para-tuberculosis, Nutritional interventions in small ruminants , Reproductive technology, Safe meat production and Zoonoses for making livestock farming a profitable venture among the farmers and rural youth.
