DDC chairs District Health Society meet

REASI, JANUARY 18: District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar today chaired a meeting of District Health Society to review the financial and physical progress under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and various other schemes.
Chief Medical Officer Dr L D Bhagat informed the meeting that 572016 OPDs, 16142 IPD, 50 major surgeries, 11707 minor surgeries and 2583 institutional deliveries have been recorded in the district during this fiscal. He further informed that under RBSK the medical teams covered 662 schools and Anganwari centers and examined 62247 children .About 10236 children were identified with various ailments of which treatment was provided to 3215 children, 54 cases have been referred to higher medical institutes and financial assistance has been provided in 24 cases.
District Development Commissioner while taking a review of the healthcare facilities stressed on improving the overall working to improve the medicare and achieve the financial and physical targets under various schemes in health sector.
He directed the concerned to purchase ambulances, equipments and machinery to strengthen health institutions especially blood bank in district hospital.
DDC also directed the Superintendent, District Hospital Reasi to ensure the functioning of DEIC in district hospital with adequate staff and infrastructure for rehabilitation of children referred under RBSK.
District Programme Officer Surinder Sharma, Superintendent DH, Dr R S Samyal, Dy CMO Dr K C Dogra, Chief Education Officer, Nodal Officer RBSK, Dr. Renu Sudha, BMOs of various blocks, DGM JKPCC Pankaj Sawhney and other officers were present in the meeting.
