Budding football players meet Governor

JAMMU, JANUARY 18: Mr. A. V. Chauhan, Inspector General, CRPF, Jammu, brought two budding football players, Mr. Basit Ahmad and Mohammad Asrar Rehbar, to meet Governor N. N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today. Supported by the CRPF, these two footballers have been selected to play under the aegis of La Liga, the National Football League in Spain.
The Governor appreciated CRPF’s efforts in encouraging budding sportsmen from J&K to receive opportunities to enter the international arena in football. Interacting with the two players, both from Srinagar, the Governor wished them high success in their performances in the League Football matches in Spain during the next six months. He hoped that both of them would become known international players in the coming years.
Governor also lauded CRPF’s endeavours to provide openings for budding sportsperson from Kashmir Valley.
