Two gazetted officers among eight employees suspended in North Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 18: Two gazetted officers were among eight employees of different Government departments suspended for remaining unauthorisedly absent from duty, an official spokesman said here today. He said Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, conducted a surprise inspection of various Government offices in the district yesterday. During the surprise checking he found eight employees unauthorisedly absent from their duties. The DC accompanied by Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer Tehsildar Baramulla and other concerned officers had visited offices of Animal Husbandry, Cooperative, Irrigation & Flood Control ITI and Mini-secretariat Baramulla. During the inspection, Dr Naqash suspended the eight employees including two gazetted officers. The DC said such drives will be held on a routine basis to curb the menace of absenteeism in the district.
