Over 10% of those registered for Govt jobs are in Jammu distt

JAMMU: Even as the number of educated persons registered with employment and counselling centres for government jobs is significantly high in Kashmir Valley, Jammu districts accounts for more than ten percent of those registered across the state.
Of the 104577 unemployed youth registered with the district employment and counselling centres across 22 districts in the state, 20255 are graduates -15019 from Kashmir and only 5236 from Jammu division. Similarly, there 6890 post graduates registered for the jobs and of them 4809 are from Kashmir and only 2081 from Jammu region.
The number of unemployed youth in Jammu region is 45781 while in Kashmir region it is 58796. In the Jammu region the district-wise break-up is following: Jammu 11807, Samba 5311, Udhampur 3485, Reasi 3516, Kathua 9443, Doda 1766, Ramban 1977, Kishtiwar 1590, Rajouri 4360 and Poonch 2526.
The registered unemployed youth in Srinagar are 5366, Ganderbal 3077, Budgam 5165, Anantnag 5375, Pulwama 5173, Shopian 4335, Baramulla 3587, Bandipora 2684, Kupwara 3987, Leh 2754, Kargil 4254.
