JAMMU: Members of opposition National Conference today staged walkout in the Legislative Assembly asserting that there is ‘no governance’ in the snow hit Kashmir valley. As soon as the House proceedings started, NC MLAs stood up and created uproar in the House. The members said that people are suffering in snow bound areas of Kashmir but nobody from the government enquired about them. Power crisis, shortage of ration and poor health infrastructure has made life miserable but the district administrations are doing nothing to provide relief to the sufferers, shouted the NC members.

Amid uproar the members said that the government had made no planned arrangements of providing relief to people.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh replying in the House said that government has made all required arrangements for the people and 80 percent of power supply is also restored in snow bound areas.
The NC members however, later staged walkout in the Assembly. Speaking to media outside the House, NC MLA Ali Mohammad Sagar slammed the government for being ‘non-serious’ and there is no governance at all on ground.
Meanwhile, NC MLA Devendra Singh Rana earlier raised the issue of firing by Army last night in Nagrota Constituency here.
Mr Rana said that atmosphere of fear psychosis is being created and attempt is being made to convert Jammu into Kashmir.
The legislators created pandemonium in the House.
