Srinagar, Jan 15: After remaining affected for two days due to shutdown, life returned to normal as business and other activities once again resumed on the first day of the five-day long relaxation in strike announced by separatists.
The famous Sunday Market was also functional as hundreds of vendors selling goods, ranging from a simple needle to expensive carpets and woolens, have put up their stalls in the city.
Meanwhile, the summer capital Srinagar, which witnessed an improvement of about four degrees Celsius in the night temperature after mercury settled at minus 2.3 degree Celsius due to cloudy skies, once again came alive today as shops and business establishments reopened.
