Upgradation of Qamarwari-Parimpora road apace: Veeri
Minister for Public Works (Roads & Buildings), Abdul Rehman Veeri, in reply to a question by Noor Mohammad Sheikh today informed the Legislative Assembly that the upgradation of Qamarwari-Parimpora road is apace.
He said the road was taken up in the year 2008-09 at an estimated cost of Rs 13.79 crore (development cost) under Central Road Fund (CRF) scheme. He said the project also involves cost of compensation on account of acquisition of structures/shops and rehabilitation of affected households to the extent of Rs 38.56 crore, against which Rs 6 crore have been released/utilized. The work is in progress and completed from RD 500 to 2170.
Mr Veeri further informed that the DPR for widening/up-gradation of road from Tattoo Ground to Khumaini Chowk via Bemina By-pass has been formulated at an estimated cost of Rs 14.33 crore, but due to resource constraints the same could not be approved under any scheme yet.
