Construction of Sadhna tunnel awaits BRO approval: Veeri

Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri today said that the proposal for construction of Sadhna tunnel on Bandipora-Gurez road is awaiting sanction from Border Roads Organization (BRO).
Replying to a question by Raja Manzoor Ahmad, the Minister said that engagement of consultants for carrying out pre-feasibility study and framing up of phase-wise proposals (DPR) of the tunnel has been forwarded by project BEACON to headquarters of Director General Border Roads (BRO) for sanction.
MLA Er Rasheed, MLA Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, MLA Shah Mohammad Tantray, MLA Dalip Singh Parihar and MLA Abdul Rahim Rather raised supplementary questions about their respective constituencies.
