Congress moved Governor against Assembly Speaker

JAMMU: The Opposition Congress claimed that it moved a no confidence motion against Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta for attributing a remark to its Legislature Party leader which ‘he didn’t actually make’.
After confrontation in the Legislative Assembly this afternoon, the Congress Legislature Party Leader Nawang Rigzin Jora summoned an urgent press conference along with all party MLAs where he said that Speaker Kavinder Gupta has falsely accused him of raising slogans which are against the national interest.
He said that Congress was protesting against the atrocities and misrule of this government and total failure of law and order machinery in the state. The speaker was behaving in a partial manner and not upholding respect and dignity of Chair. “The speaker himself has pledged his allegiance to R.S.S. which is unethical and goes against the sanctity of chair”, said Jora
He clarified that the Congress MLAs were raising slogans like PDP Ka Kaya Farman, Kashmir Bane Ga Kabristan and PDP Ke Kaya Pehachan Kashmir Banega Nagpur which were misinterpreted by the Chair.
The CLP leader said that it was very un fortunate that the chair of the speaker is being misused by the BJP and PDP to further their own agenda by spreading lies and confusion in the house. Jora said that he has been legislature for the last 15 years and has never seen such behavior by any speaker or even heard any such incident in the past. The CLP leader said Congress party along with other opposition are going to bring no confidence motion against the Speaker and they are meeting His Excellency the Governor, on this issue.
MLAs present in the Press conference include:- Aijaz Ahmed Khan, G.M. Saroori, Dildan Namgyal, ViKar Rasool, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Choudhary Mohd. Akram , Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Haji Ab. Rasheed, Usman Majid, Choudhary Akram and Ashgar Karbalai.
