Two Rohingya girls rescued, 3 held, hunt launched for 2 others

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir police have foiled a bid of human trafficking by rescuing two Rohingya girls and arrested three persons involved in the crime while manhunt launched to nab two other accused.
“The two girls including one minor were rescued from different locations. Minor was rescued from Nagrota area of Jammu while other was rescued for Dashan area of district Kishtwar,” a police official associated with investigation told The News Now.
Divulging details about preliminary investigation, a police official said that the duo victims were brought from Mayanmar after paying Rs 25000 to their father for their further bid of Rs 2 lakh.
However, police arrested three accused persons involved in human trafficking while hunt for two others are on.
The accused have been identified as Shah Nazw son of Mohd Sultan, his brother Haq Nawaz of Kishtwar, Nooru Amin, Mohd Hassan and Sahdullaha, all are residents of Mayanmar .
Police said that Shah Nawaz was arrested from Nagrota area and recovered a minor girl from his possession while her elder sister was rescued from the residence of Haq Nawaz in Dashan.
Haq Nawaz had fixed her rate for Rs 2 lakh and had a customer when police rescued her. Haq Nawaz is presently absconding.
Nooru Amin, Mohd Hassan and Sahdullaha brought the girls from Mayanmar for flesh trade. While Nooru Amin, Mohd Hassan have been arrested by Nagrota police their third accomplice is absconding.
A senior police officer informed The News Now that a case vide FIR No: 388/2021 dated 27-9--2021 u/s 363 and 365 IPC and POSCO Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota in this connection, adding, further probe is going on.
Meanwhile sharing details official sources said that Nagrota police received information that a minor Rohingya girl is illegally confined at the residence of one Haqnawaz alias Baya of Bye Pass Khanpur, Nagrota. Based on the inputs, Nagrota police conducted a raid and rescued the girl.
On being questioned, the minor girl told police that she and her elder sister were sold for Rs 25,000 to one Saedullah Amin son of Fayaz Ahmed of Myanmar currently staying at Rahim Nagar, Narwal, Jammu. Saedullah Amin brought them here in Jammu and further sold them at Nagrota.
Sources further said that the minor girl informed police that her elder sister has been sent to district Kishtwar. She also claimed that she had faced sexual assault.
Police later shifted the minor girl to Child Welfare Committee and her elder sister to Nari Nekaten.
