Living under fear of psychosis in the wake of civilian killings especially of a particular community, the displaced employees’ from the Kashmir Pandit fraternity serving the Kashmir valley under Prime Minister Relief Package will get housing facilities by 2022.Under the Prime Minister's relief package, all the displaced employees will be given suitable accommodation by next year. The accommodations are under construction in more than 20 locations across the Kashmir valley.All the employees of the Prime Minister's package will be given suitable accommodation by 2022. Presently the construction work is in full swing at Vandama in Ganderbal, Odina in Bandipora, Fatehpora in Baramulla and Alovpora in Shopian. It is expected that accommodation will be allotted to the employees next year by March-April.The constructions are being reviewed time to time by the Engineering Wings and the senior officers from the administration and the work is being done on war-footing.Facilities like accommodation, inter-district transfer, transfer of employees to a safer place are also being taken into consideration presently in the transit camps where the employees are putting up.Around 1230 employees are living in two-room flats at Vesu in Kulgam, Sheikhpura in Budgam and Mattan in Anantnag, he said adding, “apart from this, employees are also staying in prefabricated houses in Natansa of Kupwara, Veervan in Baramulla and Hal area of Shopian.Notably, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner has also recently directed the field staff and officers of other agencies to provide basic facilities to all the employees residing in the transit camps.Meanwhile, as per reports, some of the displaced employees in Kupwara's Natansa also complained about the inconvenience of power supply and internet service following which the administration immediately took cognizance of the concern and assured the towers will be installed soon while 12 solar lights have also been installed in the colony.
