Sensex up marginally by 23 pts
Mumbai, Nov 25: The BSE Sensex on Thursday rose by 23 pts to open at 58,363.93 as buying was seen in Energy, IT and Telecom stocks.
The Nifty was flat at 17,417.30, up by two pts.
The Sensex registered days high and low at 58,439 and 58,199.49 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 17,454 and 17,375.05 pts respectively.
Out of 30 scrips, 11 advanced while 19 declined.
The gainers were Reliance Industries by 1.28 pc to Rs 2381.05, Tech Mahindra by 1.15 pc to Rs 1557.35, Kotak Bank by 0.79 pc to Rs 2027.90 and Infosys by 0.62 pc to Rs 1708.
The losers were ICICI Bank by 1.43 pc to Rs 749.30, NTPC by 1.11 pc to Rs 133.90, Hind Unilever by 0.67 pc to Rs 2360.45 and Asian Paints by 0.65 pc to Rs 3138.05.
