Block Divas meeting: DC Reasi listens to public issues at Panchayat Bhambla

REASI, NOVEMBER 24: District Administration Reasi, under the headship of District Development Commissioner, Charandeep Singh, listened to scores of public issues at a Block Divas programme held at Bhambla Panchayat of Block Pouni here on Wednesday.
At the outset, Charandeep Singh inaugurated Guraha Chataala to Satoti road completed under languishing projects and a rural bridal link completed at Rs 8.5Lakh under PRI Capex budget.
The local people of all surrounding Panchayats participated in the programme and highlighted their problems and developmental issues faced by them.
They demanded Play ground at Bhambla, Health Centre & Veterinary Centre at Letar, adequate staff in schools, regulation of minor mineral rates, up-gradation of Schools, replacement of old electric poles, up-gradation of transformer, sub centre in Godar Khalsa and Community hall for senior citizens.
Other issues of public importance projected by the people were construction of main road Dangar to Chappad, requirement of Toilets, compensation of acquired land to the owners, Animal Husbandry building, ration depot at Kharoti and many more.
A score of issues of Water, Power, road, transport, ration, ICDS, Nutrition, education, health were resolved on the spot after face to face deliberation with District officers, while for several other issues the DDC set a timeline for their resolution.
A review of action taken on previous issues raised by local people was also taken by the DDC.
Instructions were also passed to the departmental functionaries for visiting their respective jurisdictions and listening to the grievances of the general public, besides holding awareness programmes, highlighting various individual beneficiary schemes across the Panchayats.
During the programme, the Social Welfare Department distributed pension sanction certificates and UT -Marriage assistance certificates to beneficiaries of the welfare Schemes, while Agricultural Kitts were given to four Panchayats of block Pouni by the Agriculture department. Golden Cards were also distributed among the locals.
Earlier, the DDC also educated the villagers and PRIs about the benefits of the Land Record Information System created by the UT Government under its Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani initiative.
