Although some parents see social media as detrimental to their children, yet these sites definitely do some good to have social media accounts. Using social media allows teens to know what was happening across the world besides expressing their feelings. It makes them feel that they are a part of something, even when they feel like an outcast in society.

I believe that social networking sites are harmful as these lead to addiction, business problems and if any personal problem is added, people start feeling insecure.
What is happening around the world is normally due to the increasing popularity of social networking sites. Murder, rape and so on. Sometimes it happens due to friends that are made through these sites. There is no sure way to know that the person you are talking on social network is reliable, trust worthy and true friend. These sites make it easy for predators to prey on naive people. The fact that there are individuals with bad intentions out there who spend their time trying to lure people through false identities thus putting everyone in great danger. There have been various incidents on social network when people have been deceived and betrayed. In fact we cannot determine that the friends we talk and send messages are well wishers or criminals.

I personally believe that social media has truly made our world a better place and I think overall the world has greatly benefitted from its existence for many different reasons. An individual who may be working away from his or her home, social media allows individuals the chance to stay close with their family and friends. It allows them to share what’s going in their life in the most convenient way.
Social networking on internet is important in the present age because internet is the place to be for everything. People use the internet to shop, to sell things, to learn things, to meet others and to find what they are looking for. In short, social networking sites are now becoming a classroom in itself. In schools and colleges we only study about the course of the syllabus, but here you can learn, share and find answers to your queries as millions of people are connected with you through this social platforms.

We all have heard about cyber bullying, which easily occurs on social networking sites. Cyber bullies might post abusive, unkind and even vulgar posts on someone’s wall. They might put photos of other on their own profiles with bad intention of ridiculing a person or maligning his or image, and they often make false profiles pretending themselves someone another.
It is specially the younger ones who are more prone to being addicted to social networking sites like Facebook, We Chat, Snap Chat etc. During our very young age when our young minds should be engaged in dealing with the realities of life and relationships, they are dipping their bodies and souls into a virtual reality.
