Govt terminates two more teachers for remaining unauthorizedly absent

SRINAGAR: Two more teachers have been terminated from the services by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir for remaining unauthorizedly absent from their duties.
The teachers that have been terminated include one each from Anantnag and Srinagar district. The order in this regard has been issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir.
As per the order, Jameela Akhter was appointed in the Department as a teacher in District Anantnag and subsequently posted in Boys High School (BHS) Singhpora on a contractual basis on 24th October 2006 and was regularized by the Department on 09th June 015.
However, prior to availing the benefit of her regularization the teacher as per the order remained un-authorizedly absent from her legitimate duties from 9th September 2014. Further, the said contractual teacher was provided opportunities to resume her duties, but she failed to do so, which indicates that she is not interested to work more in the Department.
The issue was placed before the Designated Committee in its meeting held on 27th October 2021 and after examining the case the committee took the decision process for disengagement/termination w.e.f 09th September 2014
Now, therefore, pursuant to a decision of the committee Jameela Akhter, Teacher, BHS Singhpora, District Anantnag is hereby disengaged/removed from the service of the state with immediate effect.
Further, as per the order, Nighat Hussain, Teacher, Boys Middle School (BMS) Soura District Srinagar remained un-authorizedly absent from her legitimate duties from 1st September 2012. The teacher was served several notices to resume her legitimate duties which she failed.
The teacher was again provided with an opportunity to be heard and was asked to present herself before this Directorate along with a statement of defence within a period of 15 days through a Joint Show Cause Notice issued by this office on 9th July 2021.
However, instead of presenting herself before this Directorate with a statement of defence, she continued to remain absent from her legitimate duties, which indicates she is not interested to work more in the Department; and
As per the order, remaining un-authorizedly/continuously absent from legitimate duties by a Government employee attracts action in terms of article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956, reads as under Article 113 which reads "After five years of continuous absence on leave an officer is considered to be out of state employee".
Whereas the issue was placed before the Designated Committee in its meeting held on 27/10/2021 and after examining the case the committee passed the following decision: "to process for termination of services under Article 113 of CSR".
Now, therefore, pursuant to the decision of the designated committee Nighat Hussain, Teacher, BMS Soura District Srinagar is hereby removed from Government service in terms of Article 1 13 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume 1) of 1956 read with Rule 30 (vii) of CCA Rules 1956, the order reads.
Earlier, two days back, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir terminated four teachers for remaining unauthorized absent from their duties.
Among the four teachers that were suspended, two are from Baramulla and one from Ganderbal and Anantnag. Whereas, the education department has invoked the terms of Article 113 and Article 128 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30 (VII) of J&KCCA rules 1956 for the termination of teachers.
