Class 10th, 12thexams to begin from Nov

SRINAGAR: With board exams of class 10th and 12th of Kashmir provision to be held from next month, the government has directed students to carry consent for each examination duly signed by their parents or legal guardians.
Further, the government has said that the examination for 10th and 12th classes shall be permitted to be held in staggered manners in view of all the social distancing norms and Covid appropriate behaviour.
An order in this regard has been issued by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction State Executive Committee. “Offline Board Examination for 12th and 10th classes shall be permitted to be held in a staggered manner keeping in view all the Social Distancing Norms & Covid Appropriate Behaviour”, the order reads.
The directions shall be strictly adhered to by the concerned institutions conducting the offline board examinations which include that all the students coming for offline board examination to the venue shall carry consent for each examination duly signed by their parents/legal guardians, it added.
Also, the sanitisation of the examination hall, furniture and toilets should be carried out daily before and after the exams. The seating arrangement should be made in such a manner that every second desk is left vacant to maintain physical distancing, it reads.
As per the order, vaccinating the teachers, staff and officials involved in conducting the examination with the cooperation of the district administration shall be made mandatory. “There should be a thermal scanner, pulse oximeter, first aid boxes and hand sanitisers at the venue of the examination”, it added.
“All the students appearing for the examination must mandatorily be wearing masks & arrangement to this effect needs to be ensured by the concerned institution. Separate facilities should be provided to the students showing any symptoms like cough, common cold and flu. It shall be the responsibility of Board authorities and Head of the schools to ensure that the Covid protocols are strictly adhered to”, the order added.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and the Kashmir Board of School Education has announced the date sheet for the Class 12th annual examination of the Kashmir province. As per the date sheet, the first paper shall start on November 9 and shall end on December 4.
Further, as per the date sheet, the external practical examination shall be conducted by the respective affiliated academic institutions at their own level, before the commencement of theory examination and submit the awards and external practical to Joint Secretary, BOSE, immediately after the issuance of admit card.
