India logs 28,326 new COVID cases, 260 deaths

New Delhi, Sep 26: A total of 28,326 people have tested positive for COVID-19 across the country during the past 24 hours, the Union Heath Ministry said on Sunday.
As per the bulletin issued by the ministry, the latest addition has pushed the cumulative case tally to 33,652,745, while the death toll rose to 4,46,918 in India.
During the same period 26,032 more people recovered from the disease, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,29,02,351. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.77 per cent.
Active cases which currently stand at 3,03,476, account for less than one percent of total cases, it said.
So far 85.60 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive
Active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.90%.
Weekly Positivity Rate (1.98%) less than 3% for last 93 days.
Daily positivity rate (1.90%) less than 3% for last 27 days.
So far 56.32 cr tests have been conducted so far across the country.
